Our SC site has enabled forms authentication. If the user is somehow logged out from the site due to session timeout or website restart, he is prompted to logon with a popup window (which looks like windows authentication logon window, even though we have forms authentication enabled). Is there a way to configure it to redirect the user to the login.aspx page instead? This functionality would be very useful if the host page is customized and is served from inside of an iframe on another site.

I haven't seen that myself, but knowing the way it works, I'd imagine it's coming up because of the underlying AJAX calls to the service. We want the service to be callable by specifying http credentials, but we don't want that window to popup when using a browser. Hmm......

Whatever code launches the logon window, couldn't it be modified to redirect to login.aspx page?
