<sigh> calls from Kaspersky users about screenconnect. Guess it couldn't last forever :)

Good morning,

Can you provide more information/context about what your Kaspersky users are experiencing?

Cheers,
Ben

Kaspersky is now reporting screenconnect as a remote access tool. It's not reporting as a virus. Just a remote access tool and they have to answer yes it's ok, or no it's not (the elsinore name in the install files isn't related to my business name so it looks weird).

Thx,
David

As obnoxious as this is it's likely intended behavior from Kaspersky. We've been continually fighting with various AV vendors to reduce this kind of problem but it's a very slow process.

I let our PM team know about the issue and they've once again reached out to our contacts within Kaspersky to see what can be done.

Yeah, hard to fight it. Screenconnect IS a remote access tool, they just have to add it to the exception list manually once per PC
