I'm upgrading my tech machine from 16.04 to 17.10 and I wanted to ask in advance if there are any problems connecting to clients or installing the components needed. Anyone here done it without issue yet?

I use XUbuntu and get on every new release. I haven't had any major problems. Currently on 17.10 and eagerly awaiting 18.04.

My only Linux complaint is that some menus do not show up when connected remotely.

One caveat worth mentioning about 17.10 is that it uses Wayland instead of x11 as the default display server. In order to connect to the 17.10 guest via Control without display issues, you'll need to configure the system to use x11 by default.

Thanks for all the replies. Good catch on the default display driver. Wayland is also an issue for some of the other software I am using.
