Hi,

It's possible to retrieve information from the computer like Computer Description and show this information in the list of computers even if the computer are offline?

You can retrieve information from the computer while it is on, then it will remain visible to you while the computer is off. But you can't pull info from a machine that's turned off.

You can probably do this with a custom extension. I suggest taking a look at the 'Additional General Information' extension to see how it accomplishes very similar behavior.

Just a tip note:

  • SC v5.5 has a glitch with Windows 10 (Anniversary) or vice-versa, that doesn't show on General tab, the last 3: Manufacturer, Name and BIOS Serial (known issue).

  • IDK if helps, it is just an example but here is what I use to pull the same info from Command Tab, just drop the whole text as it is and hit enter:

    #!cmd
    #maxlength=50000
    #timeout=90000
    wmic csproduct get vendor,name,identifyingnumber
    wmic cpu get Name
    wmic os get Name
    wmic os get osarchitecture
    wmic memorychip get capacity

  • In the other hand, as it was mentioned above, this info stay forever there in General Tab even when computer is off, and update itself when is on (almost sure about this last one).

  • However, even when might sound manual-crafting, if I need to leave any info or important note to myself or my colleague, I use the 2nd field editing SESSION->Organization, and put any 'forever' note we might need.

    Hope it helps.
