I am trying to create a session group to display all new Access guests added within the last few days.

The following works:

Code:
FirstEventTime >= '2017-08-14'

and it works with a time too:

Code:
FirstEventTime >= '2017-08-14 00:00:00'

However, when I try using a variable instead of a hard-coded date, nothing is returned:

Code:
FirstEventTime >= $3DAYSAGO

What am I doing wrong please?

So I was able to get the following session group filter to work:

Code:

FirstEventTime >= $3DAYSAGO

Initially when I created the group it was empty, but I installed a new access session onto a remote machine and after it called back it appeared as expected. I guess my question is are you certain that you have Access sessions created within the last 3 days? I know you said it works with the hard coded date, but I'm not seeing any difference in behavior.

A decent way to test is to uninstall an Access client locally and then install from a newly built installer, how does it appear after it calls back?

Thanks for your reply. I have just tested this further.

Code:
FirstEventTime >= '2017-08-15'

This returns 18 guests.

Code:
FirstEventTime >= $3DAYSAGO

This returns zero.

I have tried installing a new Access client and it immediately appeared in the first group, but not the second. I also tried logging out, clearing the browser cache and cookies, and logging in again, but it is still showing zero.

I wonder why it is working for you but not for me? I am running the self-hosted version - I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

I am self hosted as well, and my "recent" filter is exactly:
FirstEventTime > $30DAYSAGO

It works as expected NOW, but I remember having trouble with it initially. I think I fixed it by rebooting the server. (which was actually done to fix "Reinstall" commands not working)

Thanks. I just tried rebooting the server, but the session group is still displaying zero I'm afraid.

Sounds like a bug if you've had the same issue.

Just in case anyone else is experiencing this problem, I raised a ticket with support (#9330281), who have confirmed that this in fact a bug. The issue is to do with how Mono handles locale settings on Linux servers. There is no ETA for a fix, but it will appear in the output stream once it has been resolved.
