We'd like to setup 1 session group where only the owners can connect to these computers. The only way I've seen to get this to work is remove "JoinSession" from AllSessionsGroups permission for all employees that are not owners. I then have to select "JoinSession" for SupportSessionGroup/MeetingSessionGroup and to each access session group besides the Admin group and the All Machines.

Employees then can no longer just select any of the machines in the All Machine group, but have to go to the Session Group that those computers are in (that aren't Admin). If any new session groups are made though, I'll have to login as an administrator and update "JoinSession" to the new access group or else they won't be able to use.

TL;DR - Is there a way to make a session group that only selective people have access to?

Thanks
Dan

This is certainly possible:

1) Create a session group that contains a set of machines that only "owners" may connect to. More information on creating session groups and using session group filters may be found here:

https://docs.connectwise...Host_page/Session_groups
https://docs.connectwise..._groups_filter_reference

2) Create a new role with whatever permissions you wish to grant to "owners"; these permissions only apply to the session group created in step 1. The "owner" users are assigned this role only. More information on role-based security may be found here:

https://docs.connectwise...er_roles_and_permissions
https://docs.connectwise...sed_security_permissions

When "owners" log into the host page, they are only able to view/join and otherwise interact with sessions that belong to the session group created in step 1.

Cheers,
Ben
