Is there a way to limit who/when a technician can see all currently connected sessions and the other technicians that are connected? For instance, I have 3 technicians/hosts. I do not want 2 of the technicians to "see" when the 3rd is connected to a machine.

I have not found a permission to do this but I believe I have accomplished my goal by editing the session groups and filtering out tech 3's machines so that techs 1 and 2 cannot see the machines which in turn cannot see when tech 1 is connected to a machine. This would be so much easier if there were a permission that controlled this. Maybe someone does know of an easier way rather than editing every access group to create the filters?

I guess I'm not really following what you're trying to accomplish. Basically you have multiple Hosts and when one of them is connected to a session you do not want the other(s) to be aware of this? What's the use case for this?

I guess it would be like a multi-tenant type of thing. We have a couple internal depts. that use ScreenConnect and want to keep everything segregated between the depts.

So this different departments should have access to each own department's machines and nothing else, correct?

You can do that with Session Groups and Role Based Permissions.

KB for session groups here.

And info on Role Based Permissions here.

That is what I originally tried. Each dept could only "see" their own groups and connect to them but I have a session group setup that displays all connected sessions so that if a coworker asks for help, it is easy for us to find his current session. The group has this filter "HostConnectedCount > 0 AND GuestConnectedCount > 0". With that filter, each dept. could still still each others connected sessions. I had to create separate "Connected Sessions" groups for each dept. and then add "AND NOT CustomProperty1 = 'Company Name'" to each session filter so it would hide the other depts. connections.

I hope that makes sense.

Unfortunately I cannot think of a better way to do this at the moment. If you have a way, I strongly suggest you register it within our Product Feedback Portal so that it may be considered for a future addition.
