hi:)
Case: i have few organizations which i am servicing. Most of them are grouped by static IP. Unfortunately, few of them had to change ISP to different one, which resets IP every 22 hours (dynamic IP).

Problem: I want to group their sessions to easily find proper machine. Easiest would be sorting them by domain name provided by dynamic dns (like dyndns.org).
How can i solve such problem?

Alternatively in every locations there are servers (which are not moving between locations) - is it possible to make query like (pseudocode): GuestNetworkAddress like 'select IP from CLIENTS where HOSTNAME=' Myserver''.

I don't want to use custom names or parameters, because it is important for me to know from where they are connecting.
I did not found simmilar problem on this forum.
Thanks in advance.

I'm unsure of your exact setup, but we have a couple of views that may help you.

First is by site using IP address. We have many subnets within a site, so we use something like this: iif(SUBSTRING(GuestNetworkAddress, 1, 6)='10.1.1', 'Site Name'...

Another view is by domain membership. GuestMachineDomain='Domain Name'

Hope this helps!

well ip ranges would work BUT that certain ISP is using IPs during change from almost all IP ranges that he owns. Also it may happen that two organizations will receive public IPs from one subnet.
domain membership also is not good in my case, because not all PCs are connected to domain (laptops which only serve as source for projectors, kiosks and some machines which use home version of windows).
That's why i am wondering about domain names(fqdn) and translation thru DNS.
