Good morning Henry,

About how many sessions do you have? Depending on how many sessions you have, you could try adding the subgroup expression Name to your session group -- this way, sessions with the same name will be listed under the same subgroup:

Also, I'm wondering why installing an access client on a new machine is creating two sessions in the first place. How are you deploying the clients to new machines?

Cheers,
Ben

I guess I'm not understanding how what @Ben B mentioned doesn't help. It can be used to create a list of session name's that is very easily to sort through to find duplicates.

Can you elaborate a bit more on for what you're looking?

Ah, so, what you're wanting isn't directly possible, but you can use an extension to accomplish similar functionality. Take a look at this KB article on how to create a basic extension containing a web service.

Your web service would contain a single method similar to:

Code:

	public object[] GetSessionsWithDuplicateNames()
	{
		return SessionManagerPool.Demux.GetSessions()
			.Select(s => s.Name)
			.GroupBy(n => n)
			.Where(g => g.Count() > 1)
			.Select(y => y)
			.ToArray();
	}

Which when invoked returns a list of duplicate names by session type. You would invoke it with curl/postman/web request similar to:

Code:

http://your.screenconnect.com:8040/App_Extensions/EXTENSION_ID/Service.ashx/GetSessionsWithDuplicateNames

Make sure to send it as a post and set the content-type to application json.
