So just having an issue with one computer not updating idle times and showing black screens connecting.

It's a Windows 10 (full updated) client that 30 days or so ago stopped updating idle time and displaying the icon in the system tray. They can't see messages we send them, no commands run but shows connected. We try connecting and just get a black screen.

Tried reinstalling MSI and EXE versions but now it's not updating machine name or anything now. Shows in the right session (because programmed in the MSI/EXE, but blank machine name). Going to our remote page results same issue. Service is running and exes are running as well. Other machines on the network are working fine.

Any way to fully uninstall it? Guessing something is hanging around and causing a problem. Don't show any errors in the Application log after install. Just the normal successful install messages.

EDIT: nothing seems to be running in the system tray for either unattended or attended.

Are there any other display hooks installed? I've seen this on a few machines that had other remote control solutions installed that hijacked the interleaved into the display driver, which prevented SC from being able to collect thumbnails and slowed screen responsiveness when connected. Removing the other remote control solutions resolved it. If you have control over the device look for anything that's hooked into the display driver, remove any remotes (including SC), and reinstall them installing SC last.

Don't see any other display hooks under display adapters (with show hidden devices).
