This will be a quick release. We're keeping focus to increase compatibility and streamline launching of the clients.


  • Added OS X Mac Application Bundle client that has no dependencies other than a vanilla OS X install, including Lion and Mountain Lion (previously Lion and Mountain Lion required the user to install java)

    • pushes the menu options up to the native top bar to be more consistent with os x app design
    • runs as a single instance even for multiple session to be more consistent with os x app design
    • is launchable via url from host/guest page so it launches like mobile apps, not having to d/l a file each time

  • Added signed EXE clickonce runner for windows. Our only previous offering of an EXE was altered too much at launch-time for it to be signed. This one is signed in order to be more compliant with app deployment practices and avoid Anti-virus false positives
  • Several changes for consistency in naming and extending of customization

    • added ApplicationIcon48 and ApplicationIcon256 for use in windows icons, web start, and mac app bundles
    • renamed "guest service" to "client service"
    • commonized variations of our company name

  • fixed bad upgrade XSL that used the wrong resources key causing exception in web start and mac bundle launchers
  • added redirect for Elsinore.ScreenConnect.WindowsClient.application->Elsinore.ScreenConnect.Client.application
  • rebuild app bundle to target OS X 10.6+
  • replaced osx mono binary with one targeting OS X 10.6+
  • fixed zip file creator to not do 0 byte writes to stream because that choked ms.net 2.0
  • made launcher detect os x better for mac bundle and still deliver web start launcher to osx 10.5 and below

  • made clickonce boostrapper launcher signed (previously only the new clickonce exe was signed and it only worked with vista+; this works with xp+)
  • made installer boostrapper signed
  • various little fixes for os x compatibility with bundle
  • fixed java client issue with clipboard exception
  • fixed zip CRCs so more extractors would open our mac bundle zip files
  • merged 3.1 changes
  • made mac mono binary work with os x 10.6+

  • added missing bootstrap files to the installer ... last 3.2 build was broken because of this
  • rewrote most of the launcher ordering code to be a bit more simpler and maintainable
  • fixed java tray icon display
  • fixed naming of the EXE bootstrappers for IE because it didn't like EXE files with querystrings in urls
  • fixed installer bootstrapper so it won't try to install .NET 2.0 when .NET 4.0 is present without .NET 2.0
  • fixed java web start caching issues
  • fixed java web start JRE targeting issues in past 3.2 versions

  • fixed java message serialization so the participant->requestShare, participant->disconnect, participant->stopSharing commands work
  • made java client not scroll the scrollpane when using the arrows-- they're passed to the remote system now
  • added shift+join behavior to host page to allow choosing launcher and potentially other options in the future
  • made image upload button say "Upload PNG File" to be more descriptive of what we're looking for
  • made max size of image in the resources grid to be 64 pixels wide so the 256x256 one doesn't screw up the grid
  • made unattended windows installer bark if it is an upgrade but the product isn't installed. this is due to group policy installs being in a different installer universe and us getting into trouble when we try to upgrade them through our normal mechanism
  • added jar file handler confix XSL that should enable web start cache busting


I'm starting to really like this release ... Beta out soon.

  • added app.config icon: ShowSystemTrayIcon
  • added 32-bit executable to os x installer
  • fixed resx->javaproperties to handle unicode characters
  • fixed security cache manager to uniquify cache elements better, avoiding odd exception
  • removed superfluous params from reinstall events in session log
  • fix zip file creation to be valid under all known zip handling programs
  • fix dealing with spaces in paths for mono/linux/osx installer
  • added clause to installer for redhat-based linux to autoinstall libz
  • made a change to mono/wcf that could fix some of the hard-to-diagnose issues with recovering from deserialization errors

  • fixed linux/mono/osx so WebServerListenUri can specify virtual directories
  • fixed bug introduced in past prereleases where reinstall would not work

  • added scaling, zooming, and selecting monitors to osx/linux/java client
  • fixed left double click on osx guest client
  • fixed java web start bootstrapper to work with client resource customizations (this got broken in 3.2)
  • fixed clickonce launching when running under .net framework 2.0 without 3.0/3.5 installed
  • fixed race condition in file transfer threading resulting in timeout/accessdenied (hopefully this is fixed for good)
  • fixed mono virtual path stuff that we broke last pre-release

  • fixed osx/mono server to work (we broke it last release)
  • changed toolbox files to use the directory of the file as the working directory in the spawned process

  • fixed linux/mono so the administration tabs work (we broke it a few builds ago)
  • allotted more time for the client service to spawn user session client processes, as we encountered some machines that timed out under our previous 5 second timeout
  • reversed direction of java mouse wheel under non-osx. we had previously inverted it for osx which made it backwards for everything else.
  • fixed rc?.d error message when upgrading linux/mono

  • fixed issue clipboard activity causing error when notify icon is hid through config file
