Just starting to evaluate the ScreenConnect v2.2, however I can't seem to find the procedure for setting up unattended mac clients.

When I click on Build installer it just tries to download a msi.

Also - is there a list of all of the possible variables that you can use other than %COMPUTERNAME% ? I am looking to migrate off Logmein but need to be able to name them properly the first go around since there is no easy way to rename them from the host. A little howto on this would be great.

Our java client has the ability to run unattended, just no installer. We looked into this once, but we couldn't find an obvious way to build a simple installer that would create us as a service.

So is this something in the to-do list? Basically the app only support unattended support for Windows then?

I'm interested in this too. Is there documentation anywhere on how to manually install it?

Well, you're not really installing it. Just running the files. Here is a command line to run our stuff, but you'll need to figure out the arguments for your installation:

Code:
java -classpath Elsinore.ScreenConnect.Client.jar:Elsinore.ScreenConnect.Core.jar com.elsitech.screenconnect.client.Program "ScreenConnect" "localhost" "8041" "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000" "BgIAAACkAABSU0ExAAgAAAEAAQDTXYXqX9WrPrKoePAY3GIg6/TtNsauC2+wB32SzzGEK3JZ3J7ByLqaTfm3ST/E0PNnsq1LgppeSQL3JrO6X2zkmA558vBNwCF8LnaiZuNGoUoTwzWtMUCiiATkvhp71bNEFqOhgNa1u8StAcm8xyT5/9z8J0REzZYUP1h78zbjtdbUNI/Gg5fUlxDmB3lw5p9cJ98PD9PoJVlfmxw093aXTgO9kFYMDRwlsI42dL7oC8r8bl0o2Y/V/yCjbgBrm7J/NboawzzfZtemMg4l6f1G+TJ2gvhnImnDvmuhJZ2yd98/4eRPGuinXWbuFkjtqTEll/YBlyGLLb1vVKsxWhSi" "Guest" "%COMPUTERNAME%" "false"

You can figure the arguments by looking at a JNLP file launched from our java web start launcher. It's important the sessionID be all zeros however.

So is this actually in the to-do list of features? It is a make or break for us. We are willing to deal with out it for a while if it's in the works

The Mac unattended installer has been released as part of our 2.3 build (should release officially September 2011)
