I'm finding a stong need for a file transfer progress indicator. We can starta transfer and sti for ever with no inidication until the job either fails or pops up on the EU's screen. We need a time estimate and some form of visual indicator. Maybe someway to push it in the background without the user noticing like with LMI IT Reach. But at the very least a progress bar.

I agree with you whole heartedly. When you use the menu the file name gives a percentage, and a progress bar was supposed to be added for copy/paste file copies, but I have only seen it work once.

I agree this is needed! Also a way to cancel the file transfer. I started a large file transfer by accident and I had to close my session (not end it though) to stop the transfer.

Cut/paste and drag/drop provide both a progress indicator and cancel button.

Another quick way is to just close the host window, this will end all transfers.

But, if we're using the Toolbox, we're twiddling our thumbs not knowing if our files are being sent over in a timely manner or not. I would much prefer to see a simple 0-100% marker to the left of the Toolbox icon on the title bar.

I really like this idea. Perhaps if you click on the percentage, it would then cancel the file transfer?

Seems like a popular request, I will ask to see what can be done for toolbox. For standard file transfers as Jake said the Right Click, Copy, & Paste or Drag & Drop to a folder on the guest machine typically shows the percentage complete (if not instant). Ability to cancel the transfer is something else I will check on.

Thanks for looking into this, Jeff. While the copy/paste option does work, as a workaround, it seems to belie the use of the Toolbox altogether. Toolbox's strength is its simplicity of click..transfer..run. BUT, I can't tell you how many sessions seem to stall in mid-air when using the toolbox because the transfer takes longer than expected and I am forced to wonder if something has locked up.

I have found that the SC folder in the client's My Docs shows the file loading (pictured) so, really, it's just a matter of taking that same in-transfer number and displaying it on the toolbar (and make it clickable to cancel transfer)
