This will allow direct launching of the ClickOnce client without having to save the EXE.

The said the new browser extension should be available July 22.

I was going to post about this as well - no dotnet framework extension for firefox 5.

I installed the OpenDownload extension which is working fine for me. It adds a run option for EXE files to the download prompt in Firefox, so instead of downloading and then going to run the file, you can just click run.

It's out:
https://addons.mozilla.o...t-net-framework-assist/

Now we'll have to add support to 2.2 and 2.3.

We just added support into the latest internal builds. Hopefully released early next week.

I couldn't get it to work :(

Is this because it'll be supported in ScreenConnect 2.3.1827.4238 (currently Pre-Release)?

I'm currently using screenconnect 2.2.1762.4220 (latest stable) + Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.3.1 FF addon (I didn't forget to change the addon settings to report all .NET versions)

The .NET versions installed on my pc (win7 home premium x64):
v2.0.50727
v3.0
v3.5

The OpenDownload extension was new to me! Thx for the tip!
It'll stay installed for the rest of my FF days combined with DownloadHelper for total control over my downloads!

Greetings,
Manuel

That 2.2 version should work. Are you sure the extension is enabled? You can call our support line and we can look at your setup if you want.

I'm having issues with the ScreenConnect V2.3 trial, Firefox 7.0.1 and the .Net Framework Assistant 1.3.1.
The addon/extension is installed and enabled but ScreenConnect is suggesting that I install it and when I try open a session I still have to download the .exe file and then run it.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I cannot replicate this problem (using the same versions as what you have). Did you restart the browser after installing the .Net Framework Assistant?

I think I remember having an issue like this. The fix ended up being an uninstall of Screenconnect and reinstall on the server.

Yup browser restarted.
I removed the .NET addon and reinstalled and now Firefox seems to be working.
