Is there a way I can embed just the Code Box into an external website so that when the user goes to our support page, they just enter in a code given to them and it connects us?

I would prefer to not have the connections listed on this page or any links, etc from the normal embedded version.

Thanks in advance,
Scubes

Yes, your Guest.aspx page can take a ?Code=123 parameter in the URL. Something like this should do the trick (untested):

<form target="http://yourScreenConnectSite.com/Guest.aspx">
<input type="text" name="Code" />
<input type="submit" />
</form>

Thanks! I actually used the following code after your suggestion:

Code:

<html>
<body>
<form action="http://yourdomain.ext/Guest.aspx" method="get">
<input type="text" name="Code" />
<input type="submit" />
</form>
</body>
</html>

Thanks again for the assist! Hope this helps others as well.

I realize this thread is 6 years old... Is there any way to pull the same thing off with the 5.6 version of SC? The Code supplied by the poster, works to point that it puts the code into the box, but the submit does not appear to be working.

This is how I have mine, although I'm currently having a minor issue with it here. First I created a custom theme based on Embedded, edited it's default.css, then used these instructions for embedding, using my theme instead.
Server-side CSS:
Code:
@import url("../Embedded.css");
@import url("../AccentGreen.css");

#outerPanel #headerPanel
{
    display: none;
}

#outerPanel #middlePanel
{
    padding-top: 10px;
    margin: auto;
    border: 1px solid;
    border-color: $borderColor;
    border-radius: 5px;
    overflow: hidden;
}

iframe {
    margin: auto;
    overflow: hidden;
}

On my website:
Code:

<iframe src="http://yourscreenconnect.com/?Theme=CustomTheme" width="300" height="150" scrolling="no"></iframe>

Here's the finished product:

So is Iframe the only supported way to do this now?

I'm not aware of another way. Maybe one of the admins can chime in. If you're on 6.0 beta though, the formatting is broken for now.

@Jesseb

I am using your method to embed the iFrame minimally and it works up until you click the arrow to join a session, in hat the subsequent screen about information on the download/running ScreenConnect doesn't fit within the small width/height of the iFrame.

How do you deal with that?

@HDClown

I didn't =). Typically, I would use the iFrame method when on the phone, so I would just tell them to look for the downloaded client file, and run it.
