Linux - Cannot connect - Hangs waiting/connecting

I am not able to connect to any host. Starts the connection fine then when I get what would be my screen up it just flashes back and forth between connecting/waiting back and forth constantly. Never actually connecting.

I can verify java working on this machine with no issues.

Try opening with the Sun JRE instead of OpenJRE. OpenJRE has a bug where a security issue won't allow us to use some of the Sun encryption stuff that's built into OpenJDK. There are some settings you can change if you want to continue to use OpenJRE. We're hoping for a real fix soon.

Fixed in 2237. We had to write the RSA encryption stuff ourselves instead of using the provider built into Java. Oddly, it took us less code to do it ourselves than it takes to deal with the Java stuff we were using before-- a nice bonus.
