Good morning all,
I have just installed SC and so far like what I see - have used it in a couple live (internal) situations and it has worked seemlessly. I have installed it on our webserver whose machine name is Web1. I can access this easily by using http://web1:8040. However internally I'd like to use something a little more friendly such as http://sc.companyname.org.uk, which I can also use as an external URL. Our DNS is configured to support this. My question is where do I change this in ScreenConnect?

Thanks
Tony

You shouldn't need to change anything... but the listening URL's are in the web.config file.

You'll likely want to change ScreenConnect to listen on port 80, so you get rid of the 8040 in the url:
http://help.screenconnect.com/HOWTO-0003.ashx

Then you'll need your firewall configured correctly to allow traffic into your network:
http://help.screenconnect.com/HOWTO-0001.ashx

At that point, you change your DNS to point to your external IP, and you'll be up and running. Give our support line a call if you need a hand.
