Can we move the unattended creation/deployment into the UI?

What I would like to do is have the ability to create the unattended client (just like with the build installer button) but do so from the UI. That way while I'm on a session with a customer I can create the client and deploy it at the same time. I could I guess go back to the website, create it, then copy/paste it to the system but having something in the UI would save a lot of additional steps. I also considered the toolbox but we don't use a default MSI file for each customer we put in specific names such as "Bobs Computer" or "Server 1".

The ideal process would be:

A) User contacts us that they need support.
B) IT Company creates a group/channel with code and the User accesses and makes a connection.
C) We can see the user's screen.
D) We hit "Request Unattended Access".
E) A box pops up asking us what is the ‘name’ we would like to store this unattended access as.
F) User accepts the agreement and they are stored as a contact.
G) We now have unattended access installed to the user and can disconnect.

While not "part of the UI", I keep the installer in the Toolbox and the "Rename Unattended" script next to it. It really would be nice to have this implemented, though.

Would like to see the ability to create the unattended and customize the "call back name" on the fly from inside the Host Client. I had thought about using the toolbox for this but ideally we would prefer to be able to create it there because environmental variables are not going to work to well for us and we would prefer to use static names such as "Company-Server 1", "Company-Server2", etc.

If there was a tool that we could launch from the toolbox then that would be great or from a menu on the UI.

promptcare's solution would allow for this, it would take two steps, but they'd be two quick steps. and everytime you upgraded you can just swap out the MSI installer file without having to update anything else in your toolbox.

Plus there is my nifty little upgrade script for those clients already installed.

I know its a late reply to this thread, however;

Promptcare, sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but what is the "Rename Unattended" script you mention? The installer too I assume is simply the Unattended installer?

The reason I ask.. I do field service, and when I get a new client, it would be great to install the unattended service while I am on-site.

I am writing a UI application to start and stop the ScreenConnect Guest Service so I simply tell the client to hit the HELP button and it fires up the service and connects back to my server.

Till now its a bit of a pain, I have to ensure my office PC(SC-server) is always on to be able to create the unattended session remotely by logging in as admin etc, then download and install the .msi.

If I could carry a generic ScreenConnect Guest Service installer on my usb drive and install and rename the session it would be much faster and would not rely on my office SC server being turned on.

Any suggestions? Or have missed a already built in function?

Cheers,

Mal
