On several occasions I have had the session software installer fail. I sent a customer the msi using Build Installer and it too failed but this time it told us .Net required components were missing. Most of our customers do not want to go to MS to get the .Net installer or Sun for Java. Can the ScreenConnect installer be modified to automatically download and install any missing components from a source repository? We could then compile any required components on our FTP site and pull them as needed.

We're thinking of adding an EXE option that would bootstrap .NET

This would be a great idea for one of the "try another option". Speaking of try another option, is there a way to make that easier to use? seems to me you could wait for x amount of time and if the session is not connected then try option 2 automatically and so on through all the options?

I would LOVE that. I've got mine saying, "If you don't see progress within 60 seconds, try the next option." but having it timeout and move on to the next by itself would be immensely preferable.

We already have a .net bootstapper for attended sessions. An auto timer could be good.

We just brought it up as an idea on thursday........you are going to have to give them more time to implement things than 1 business day!

We added an EXE bootstrapper for the unattended guest client installer. But no-go on the timer issue. Internet Explorer requires that pretty much any download gets initiated _directly_ by a click, and it's a little too indirect for us to launch after a timer, so we get blocked. Sorry.

Thanks for the exe bootstrapper, and thanks for trying the timer option.
Using javascript could you at least make the options larger with a timer? Maybe some sort of wizard that will step them through the options a little better?
