In some cases with Windows 7 when you open the System Properties dialog window, access the client is locked – meaning you can see everything on the client pc but you can’t click or select anything. When the System properties dialog window is closed on the other side, you regain access to the computer.

Try elevating to service mode by sending a ctrl-alt-del. I think it's a UIPI issue that will require you be elevated.
